Amitabh Bachchan On Ikkis: Ranveer Singh’s multi-starrer spy-thriller film Dhurandhar has been in control of the box office for the last two weeks. Dhurandhar is making more bumper earnings in the second week than the first week. Amidst the stormy pace of the film, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda’s film ‘Ikkis’ was to be released on 25th December. On the same day, Kartik Aryan and Ananya Pandey’s film Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is also to be released. But just before the release, the makers announced that they are postponing the release date of ‘Ikkis’. But now Amitabh Bachchan has revealed why this decision was taken.
The megastar of the century, Amitabh Bachchan is eagerly waiting for his grandson’s first film on the big screen. ‘Ikkis’ is also special for him and all the viewers because it is the last film of late actor Dharmendra. But when its date was extended and it was decided to release it on January 1, 2026, it was discussed that the makers were adopting this strategy to avoid the box office clash. However, Amitabh has turned milk into water.

On Thursday, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his ex, “T 5599 – IKKIS was earlier on twenty-five (25), now it will be on twenty-six (’26), on first (1), some astrologers say, brother, the omen is good, come on, just go on.” This means that the release date of the film has been changed not due to box office clash but after the advice of astrology.

Who’s in ‘Ikkis’?
‘twenty-one‘ has been directed by Sriram Raghavan. The film is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal, who sacrificed his life at the age of 21. Dharmendra will be seen in the role of his father Brigadier ML Khetrapal. Apart from him, Jaideep Ahlawat is also in an important role in the film. Simar Bhatia will be seen as the female lead in this.
How much did Dhurandhar earn?
Many stalwarts of Bollywood have been seen in Dhurandhar. Ranveer Singh is in the lead role in this. Apart from him, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal and R Madhavan are also there. Sara Arjun has appeared as the female lead in the film. Artists like Rakesh Bedi and Saumya Tandon are also a part of it. Dhurandhar has done a business of more than Rs 437 crore in 13 days only at the domestic box office. Worldwide earnings of the film have reached Rs 674.5 crore. At present, the pace of the film’s earnings does not seem to be slowing down.
