
Voting was held on 12 seats of Delhi Municipal Corporation (MCD) by-election on Sunday. The voting process was completed at around 5.30 pm. During this period, about 38.51% voting took place. With this, the fate of 53 candidates in this election has been sealed in EVMs. It is being told that due to low voting, political parties are sweating in the cold. Although all the parties are claiming their victory, but the low voting has left everyone in shock.
It is being told that in the general elections of the corporation in 2022, 49.08 percent voting took place on these 12 seats. During that time, BJP had won most of these seats, but this time the condition of BJP is said to be bad. Due to less voting, the condition of Aam Aadmi Party and Congress also looks bad. The leaders of both these parties are also claiming victory, but are avoiding speaking openly. In such a situation, now on December 3, it will be interesting to see which party gets how many seats out of these 12 seats.

During voting, minor altercations took place at two booths between workers of Bharatiya Janata Party and Aam Aadmi Party. AAP leaders created ruckus at some places. Accused the officers posted at the booth regarding the voting of AAP leaders. Apart from this, the voting process was completed peacefully at other places. After completion of voting time, EVMs have been kept under tight security in strong rooms built at ten places. There will be 24-hour monitoring through CCTV cameras.
There was no problem with EVM.
During voting in 12 wards of MCD, there was no news of any disturbance or commotion at the polling station. Also, there was no interruption in polling due to technical problems or malfunction in EVM machines. Voters cast their votes with ease. During this time, security arrangements were seen tight around the polling station. Apart from Delhi Police, special security forces remained deployed at polling stations from morning till late evening.

Chandni Mahal is on top and Greater Kailash is lagging behind.
The highest turnout was 55.93% in Chandni Mahal, where long queues of voters were seen since morning. Whereas in Greater Kailash, voting was slow and here only 26.76% voters could exercise their franchise. Good participation of women and youth was seen at many booths. According to officials, tight security arrangements were made to ensure peaceful and fair voting.
