SIR work is going on in many states of the country. Under this, lakhs of fake names and names of duplicate voters are being deleted from the states. After SIR in Bengal, it has been decided to delete the names of 58 lakh people. Similar thing will be seen in Uttar Pradesh also in the coming days. Now in this matter, former BJP MP Subrata Pathak has said to pay proper attention to SIR.
Former BJP MP from Kannauj Subrata Pathak has raised questions regarding the defeat in the last Lok Sabha elections. He said that if we pay proper attention to SIR then Samajwadi Party will not be able to find it even with binoculars. Nearly 3 lakh votes are going to be lost in Kannauj. These votes are not of BJP. In such a situation, it can be understood how Akhilesh Yadav got victory in Kannauj by so many votes.
The former MP said that 3 lakh votes are going to be lost in the 3 assembly constituencies of Kannauj. If we use our full strength then we are able to get 50 to 55 percent votes cast. At the same time, up to 90 percent votes are cast for SP. There is an uproar in political circles after this statement of the MP. At present, no statement has come from Akhilesh Yadav on this matter.
What did Akhilesh Yadav say on SIR?
Akhilesh Yadav has been expressing his opposition to SIR since the beginning. Along with this, he has also cornered BJP and Election Commission many times. Recently he had said that wherever BJP loses, it cuts votes. Names of 3 crore voters are going to be removed in UP. In the seat from where I have been elected, names of 2 lakh voters are being deleted. If two-three lakh votes are deducted in one parliamentary constituency then it is a matter of concern. He had said that the exercise of SIR is being done to cut votes.
Mamata is insisting on getting her name added to Bengal
Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is insisting on re-adding the names of the people deleted under SIR. He has decided to give instructions to conduct a fresh door-to-door investigation of the names of the removed voters in Bhawanipur. Party sources said that under the SIR exercise, names of about 45,000 voters have been removed from the draft roll.
A TMC source said, “The party leadership has made it clear that no valid voter’s name should be removed under any circumstances. Every removed name should be physically verified.”
